Gareth Bale is reportedly keen to buy Cardiff City as he leads a consortium of investors.

An initial bid for the Wales legend has been rejected by club owner Vincent Tan. But there is still strong interest in a takeover.
Bale, 35, was born in Cardiff and สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน his father Chris Pike was a striker for the club between 1989 and 1993.
It comes just weeks after former Real Madrid and Spurs team-mate Luka Modric bought a minority stake in Swansea for £1m.
Bale will hang up his boots in January 2023, just seven months after moving to LA FC. Bringing an end to an illustrious career that saw him win five Champions League titles, three La Liga titles and three Club World Cups.
But he will have work to do at Cardiff. Which will play in League One for the first time since 2002-03 after finishing bottom of the Championship.
Bale retires as Wales’ all-time top scorer and the most capped player in Welsh history.
He began his career in England, starting as a left-back for Southampton before moving to Spurs in 2007 for £5m.
His impressive displays in north London earned him a £85.3m move to Real Madrid in 2013.
In his first season with the club, Bale scored 22 goals in all competitions.
His best moment with Madrid came four years later in the 2018 Champions League final. When he scored twice, including a spectacular bicycle kick, to beat Liverpool.
He was sent out on loan in 2020, with Bale returning to Spurs and scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances.
However, it was not enough to revive his career in Spain and in 2022 the forward moved to LAFC in MLS before finally hanging up his boots.
