Liverpool have officially announced the signing of German midfielder Florian Wirtz for a club-record fee.

The 22-year-old has confirmed his £116million move from Leverkusen to the Reds, signing a five-year deal at Anfield that will keep him at the club until at least 2030 after undergoing a medical at the club’s training ground on Friday.

The deal, which includes £100m in guaranteed คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย money and a further £16m in bonuses, shatters the club’s record signing, set by Virgil van Dijk, who moved for £75m in 2018.

If those extra funds are met, Wirtz’s move to Anfield would become the most expensive transfer in England, overtaking the £115m Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023.

Wirtz, who has scored 57 goals in 197 appearances. Is the Reds’ second signing of the summer and the club’s second player from the Bundesliga runners-up. Following the £29.5m arrival of Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong last month.

Wirtz, whose jersey number will be announced at a later date. Said he wanted to win everything every year at Anfield.

“Last season they won the Premier League. So my goal is to win it again and go further in the Champions League. I have a lot of ambition,” Wirtz said.

“I am very excited about the new adventure that lies ahead of me. This is also a key point in my mind: I want to have something completely new, to leave the Bundesliga and join the Premier League.”

“I’ll see how I can perform there. I hope to do my best.”

“I’ve also spoken to some players who have played there and they told me it’s perfect for me and all the pitches are perfect. You can enjoy every game. I’m really looking forward to my first game.”
