The ทางเข้า ufabet reports that Manchester United are set to spend £2billion on a new stadium rather than redevelop Old Trafford. United
are planning to make an announcement on the new ground in December. With a capacity of 100,000 and completion expected by 2030.
The Red Devils have been scouting out other grounds. Including the Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou in Spain, both of which have undergone major renovations.
Club officials are also studying the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where they played Arsenal yesterday, and how much land it would take to build it.
The SoFi Stadium was completed in 2020 and forms part of the £4billion Hollywood complex, a massive redevelopment of the Inglewood area.
United are not only looking to build a new stadium, but also the Trafford area where the new stadium will be built, following
Sir Jim Radcliffe’s acquisition of a stake in the club. There have been attempts to revamp Old Trafford, but the current stadium is a difficult task.
Transport issues could make the cost of construction more expensive than building a new stadium. The stadium’s capacity could be reduced during renovations or it could be moved to another location temporarily.
The board also believes that the new stadium should complement the modern facilities in the city.
The club has consulted 30,000 fans on the decision, with a 50-50 split on whether to stay or move.
There have also been discussions about funding the giant project, which could be funded through public and private funding.
United have approached new chancellor Keir Stramer, who is reportedly open to government support for transport links to the project.
