Trent Alexander-Arnold is still taking time to adapt to Real Madrid, according to the England legend.

England legend Alan Shearer has backed Trent Alexander-Arnold to turn things around after the former Liverpool right-back made a disappointing Real Madrid debut in a 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal.

‘I think it’s going to take him a while to adapt to a new coach, new ideas and what he wants to do,’ Shearer said of Trent.

‘Obviously Trent will need time to understand สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น and adapt to his surroundings, that’s normal, but he will have better and better days.’

‘I think he’ll be happy that it’s over. He’ll probably be disappointed that he didn’t perform well, that the team didn’t perform well, that he didn’t get the results he wanted. There’s no doubt it’ll get better.’

However, Shearer is still doubtful that Xavier Alonso’s Real Madrid can reach the Club World Cup final after drawing with Al-Hilal in the tournament opener.

‘They obviously want to do well and go far in the tournament and win this title,’

‘Whether they have enough time to win the championship or not, whether he (Alonso) has enough time to convey his idea to win the championship is another matter. I suspect not.’

Shearer also sees Alonso’s biggest challenge ahead, saying: ‘They hired him because of what he has achieved.’

‘One of the key things he has to deal with is how he deals with a top-notch superstar, the huge ego of one of the biggest clubs in the world.’
